About Cartier's AFH & Interiors

A home for gentle care, love, and understanding

Some years ago, I lost my younger brother who was in his thirties, to cancer. This coupled with my years of experience in social work, working in nursing homes, licensing child care programs, and my experience as a military spouse led me to value service that enriched the lives of others which in turn was very rewarding for me and my family.  It gave us a sense of purpose and a cause that we are comfortable with dedicating the rest of our lives to.  When I reached a turning point in my life back in 2003, I believed that I could best serve my community, family, and friends through opening an adult family home.  I continue to believe that today, even more so.

In 2004, the doors to Cartier's Adult Family Home were opened.  We have not regretted one day of opening our home. It has proven to be even more gratifying and fulfilling than we ever imagined.  We love the work and working with people.  Our residents are part of our family.  We at Cartier's AFH, observe on a daily basis, the difference that individual resident-centered "gentle care, love, and understanding" makes in the lives of our residents, i.e., their behavior and quality of life.

Cartier's Interiors sells new and used products and antiques to help support resident activities, especially those who would not otherwise have funds to participate in non-house sponsored activities.
