Cartier's Adult Family Home & Interiors

 

Welcome to Cartier's AFH and Interiors website.  Cartier’s AFH is located near Lake Louise in beautiful Lakewood, Washington. It is a home where gentle care, love, and understanding are paramount in providing individual resident-centered services to residents who need a little help in continuing to enjoy their lives.  Residents may be elderly, developmentally disabled, have a physical or mental disability, or have mild dementia. Residents may need varying degrees of assistance, supervision, cueing, reminding, or guiding to carry out activities of daily living in a healthy and safe environment.

At Cartier’s AFH, residents are treated with the utmost respect, encouraged to be the best they can be, to attend religious services if they choose to,  participate in arts and crafts, and go on group outings, vacations, and local community activities as appropriate.

Cartier's AFH provides trained and certified caregivers.  The home provides:

​

• Gentle cueing, reminding, and guiding residents to live a quality life as much as possible

• Nutritious home-cooked meals and snacks while observing residents’ choices to the extent possible

• Medication monitoring and documentation

• Bathing assistance

• Private and semi-private rooms

• Cable TV

• Transportation and escort to medical appointments, as needed

• Laundry and house cleaning services

• Outdoor smoking area

• Variable rates for services depending on the level of service and room choice

• Resident centered/focused services that are designed specifically for the needs of each resident

• Opportunities for dining out, going on vacations, participating in each other’s birthday celebrations,  holiday celebrations, attending concerts, etc.

Cartier’s AFH strives to provide the best care possible to its residents.  Cartier’s Interiors was formed to help in this endeavor.  Funds raised through Cartier’s Interiors are used to help fund outings, vacation trips, purchase arts, and craft materials, etc., for residents.
